Harry Potter's Common Room Socks

Harry Potter's Common Room Socks

Inspired by the whimsy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, these socks celebrate the innocence and joy of the first Harry Potter book. While much of the series is dark and heavy, this book takes time to dwell on the excitement of entering a magical world where Harry Potter experiences comfort, happiness, & friendship for the first time since he was a baby. These socks feature a center stripe running through the sole and top of the foot, which adds two branches symbolizing Ron & Hermione at the gusset. A cable entwining the three segments emphasizes their strength in friendship and love. I imagine that Harry (or any of his friends) would wear these socks while sitting in their common room and enjoying a nice game of wizard's chess, reading, or sipping tea by the fire.

– Reading charted instructions: Remember that since you are knitting in the rnd you will read each chart from right to left
– You can choose to work using a longer circular in the magic loop method (my preferred method) or with DPNs. Both methods will work fine, & the instructions are written to accommodate whichever method you choose.
