This fluffy, cozy wonderfulness is a quick knit that can be made in just an hour or two. Available in 3 sizes (child, adult small/medium, & adult large/x-large) it's perfect for gift knitting, whipping up in the color of your favorite sports team for tailgating & games, or using up a bit of leftover bulky yarn. It's also an excellent first fisherman's rib project!

SIZING

– Child (Adult Small/Medium, Adult Large/X-Large)

– Finished circumference (blocked & unstretched): 14" (16, 18")

– Finished width (blocked & unstretched): 3.25" (4", 4.75")

 

FibeR

– Approximately 50 (60, 70) yds bulky weight yarn

– Sample A (in Adult Small/Medium): Madelinetosh ASAP, colorway unknown

– Sample B (in Adult Small/Medium): Quince & Co. Puffin, colorway root

 

Needles & Notions

– US size 11 straight or circular ndls (3 ndls in total)

– Crochet hook (for provisional CO)

– Waste yarn (for provisional CO)

– Tapestry needle

– Measuring tape

– Blocking materials

 

Gauge

4.75 sts & 2.75 rows = 2 inches in fisherman's rib (blocked & unstretched)

 

SKILLS & nOTES

If you are confused or stuck, there are a lot of great tutorials online for all of these techniques!

– Provisional CO

– Fisherman's rib: pulling the loop off the ndl while knitting into the st below can feel weird at first & like your work is going to unravel, but don't worry! It will form a lovely fluffy stitch after a few rows.

– 3 ndl bind off
